Avaada Group won a production-linked incentive of INR 961 crore ($116.78 million) for 3 GW of wafer-to-module capacity.

Indian developer Avaada Group has been awarded 3 GW of wafer-to-module capacity under the second round of the Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for high-efficiency solar PV modules. The company won a production-linked incentive of INR 961 crore ($116.78 million) for this capacity.

The government has allocated 39.6 GW of domestic solar PV module manufacturing capacity, with an INR 14,007 crore outlay, to eleven companies. This includes 16.8 GW allocated under the wafers-cells-modules basket.

Avaada Group is an integrated energy platform with business interests ranging from manufacturing solar cells, modules, and electrolyzers to renewable power generation, green hydrogen, and green ammonia production. Its solar PV manufacturing project is in the advanced stages of execution.
