Amp Energy wins CESC’s 150 MW wind-solar auction

  |   Uncategorized

Amp Energy India has won West Bengal discom CESC’s 150 MW wind-solar hybrid power auction at a tariff of INR 3.07 ($0.037)/kWh.

Amp Energy India announced today that it has won West Bengal discom CESC’s auction to procure 150 MW wind-solar hybrid power. Its arm Amp Green Energy secured the capacity by quoting the lowest tariff of INR 3.07/kWh in the competitive bidding.

The contracted 150 MW power would require the installation of 250 MWp of wind and solar capacity. Amp Energy’s scope includes project development on a build-own-operate basis. It can develop the project anywhere in India, provided the project is connected to the inter-state transmission network.

CESC will sign a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Amp Energy.

The latest addition follows Amp Energy India’s 100 MW win in Solar Energy Corp. of India Ltd’s 1.2 GW hybrid wind-solar auction.

Amp Energy India’s utility portfolio has now swelled to 1.75 GWp+ and total portfolio (including C&I off-takers) to 3 GWp.
