Loom Solar unveils 440W/530W bifacial modules

  |   Uncategorized

The Indian manufacturer has launched the Shark series bifacial panels for rooftop solar projects. The nine-busbar panels have a power output of 440W-530W with front-side efficiency ranging from 20 to 21% and rear-side gain of up to 20%.

Loom Solar, an emerging solar technology start-up in India, has launched the Shark series bifacial panels using sixth-generation (PID-free) mono PERC solar cells from Germany. The nine-busbar panels for rooftop solar projects provide a power output ranging from 440W to 530W with a power conversion efficiency of 20-21%. The rear side gain is up to 20%, leading to 530W output.

Each panel features 144 half-cut solar cells and has dimensions of 2131x1047x35 mm and a weight of 24 kg.

“The Shark bifacial panels utilize both sides to generate power, further raising the efficiency with the help of reflective surfaces like white paint, RCC roof, and installed height of 1.5 meters from the base. The panels help in 33% saving of rooftop space with respect to existing technologies,” stated Loom Solar.
