Longi signs 1.3 GW solar module supply deal with L&T

The Chinese module maker will supply 1,292 MW of PV modules for Larsen & Toubro’s two solar EPC projects in Saudi Arabia.

Longi has signed an agreement to provide 1,292 MW of solar modules to Larsen & Toubro (L&T) for two PV projects under construction in Saudi Arabia.

The first project, located in Jeddah and part of Renewable Energy Project Development Office (REPDO) round II, has a capacity of 388 MW. The second project, located in the industrial city of Sudair, has a total capacity of 1.5 GW, for which Longi has won a contract for 904 MW.

L&T received the turnkey EPC order for the Jeddah solar plant from the consortium of Masdar, EDF Renewables and Nesma Company last year.

It is executing the 1.5 GW Sudair solar plant under an EPC contract with the Consortium of ACWA Power and the Water and Electricity Holding Company, a subsidiary of Saudi Arabia’s Public Investments Fund (PIF).
