CEL seeks to empanel BOS suppliers for small solar power packs
The Central Electronics Limited (CEL) seeks to empanel balance-of-system (BOS) suppliers for compact solar power packs ranging from 1 kWp to 5 kWp. The empaneled vendors shall also be responsible for installation and commissioning of the packs at four locations—in and around Pune, Chennai, Delhi National Capital Region and Sahibabad.
Central Electronics Limited (CEL) has invited Expression of Interest for empanelment of BOS suppliers and/or installation and commissioning (I&C) of solar power packs ranging from 1 kWp to 5 kWp.
CEL will sell these power packs to customers from its four retail offices located at Sahibabad (Uttar Pradesh), Delhi, Pune (Maharashtra) and Chennai (Tamilnadu), for installation in and around Pune, Chennai, Delhi NCR and Sahibabad.
The power pack will consist of solar module (CEL make), grid-tied inverter (IEC standard), power conditioning unit (IEC standard), VRLA/Li-ion battery (IS standard).
The interested firms can bid for empanelment in three modes: as a supplier of one or more items of the power pack or as a supplier of one or more items of the power pack and I&C vendor, or as I&C vendor only.
However, CEL-make solar modules will have to be mandatorily used for any I&C work under this EOI.
The vendor is required to provide all services to the CEL customer on-site during the warranty period of five years for the power conditioning unit (inverter + charge controller), battery bank and grid-tied inverter each.
The broad scope of the work of I&C vendors includes supply of all essential items like module mounting structures, junction boxes, cables for interconnection of complete system, etc required for installation and commissioning of a power plant except supply of solar modules, inverter/PCU and battery which shall be provided to the vendor by CEL.
