Amplus Solar commissions 360 MW ISTS-connected PV project in Rajasthan

  |   Uncategorized

The 300 MW solar plant, connected to the inter-state transmission system, will supply power to commercial and industrial customers nationwide.

Amplus Solar announced this week the commissioning of its 360 MWp inter-state transmission system (ISTS) solar plant, Project Jai, in the Jaimalsar village under the Bikaner district of Rajasthan.

The solar power generated by the plant will be supplied to commercial and industrial (C&I) customers nationwide, enabling them to fulfil their green energy objectives.

The solar plant is equipped with bifacial PV modules, single-axis trackers, and 100% robotic cleaning systems. The use of the robotic cleaning system for the project is projected to reduce the water consumption for panel cleaning at the plant by up to 50 million liters per year.

“While known for pioneering rooftop solar solutions in India, the inauguration of this large-scale renewable energy project represents a significant diversification for Amplus Solar, further cementing its position as a pivotal player in India’s renewable energy landscape,” stated Amplus Solar.

Amplus, a member of clean energy solutions provider Gentari Sdn Bhd (Gentari), provides energy solutions to commercial and industrial customers by setting up on-site solar projects (rooftop and ground-mounted) and off-site solar farms. It has diversified into new avenues such as battery storage, residential solar, distributed green hydrogen, and electric vehicle-based logistics solutions.

Amplus owns and manages a portfolio of over 1.5+ GW of distributed solar assets and serves 350+ Indian and multinational firms, quadrupling its customer base from 2017 to 2023.
